What is the Giving Spree? 

The Giving Spree is Adams County’s day of giving where everyone in the community is encouraged to come together to learn about local nonprofits and support them.

Why is there a Giving Spree? 

To help donors learn about nonprofits that are doing great things in Adams County. 


How can I donate to the Giving Spree?  

1. Choose the nonprofits you wish to support.

2. Complete a Donor Form.

3. Make your payment by check or credit card.

            (Please contact the Community Foundation to make a gift of stock or charitable IRA rollover.)


How can I participate?  

Come to the Giving Spree 1-5pm at Gettysburg Times parking lot on November 5th to drop off your form; OR mail your gift with the Donor Form between NOW before November 5th; oOR give online at adamscountycf.org between November 1st--5th. 

 
Are donations tax deductible?  

Yes, donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.  The charitable status of each nonprofit was verified by the Community Foundation. Your gift acknowledgement will come from the Community Foundation for the total amount of your gift.  Your donations will go to your selected nonprofit.  As a result, you may also receive an informal thank you (not a tax receipt) from your selected nonprofits. 


What is the Stretch Pool?   

The Stretch Pool is a separate pot of money shared by all participating nonprofits.  The amount each nonprofit receives is proportional to the total amount raised. For example, if a nonprofit raises 2% of the total amount raised at the Giving Spree, they will receive 2% of the Stretch Pool.  Gifts to “E” codes (endowments) will receive an additional Stretch Pool allocation.

 
Can I donate to the Stretch Pool? 

Yes. You can support the Stretch Pool by using Code #99 on the Donor Form.

The Community Foundation is committed to upholding the spirit and integrity of the Giving Spree and reserves the right to exclude any gift from the Stretch Pool calculation.
